Special Guests

Arfon Haines Davies

The acclaimed Welsh television presenter, Arfon Haines Davies began his career as a continuityannouncer for ITV Wales in the 1970s. He continued his successful career in television for

over thirty years and was one of the main news presenters on HTV. In addition, the highly popular television broadcaster presented a variety of television shows in English and Welsh. Arfon is married to Angela and lives in Cardiff.

Cinio Haf 2019 certainly was not the first charity auction at which Arfon had kindly given his services.  His charm, wit and professionalism  resulted  in a  highly enjoyable and  lucrative auction.

Yanto Barker

Born in 1980 in Machynlleth, Yanto Barker, Welsh former professional racing cyclist turned entrepreneur, started competitive road racing when he was 15. Having won the Junior British National Road Race Championships, he began competing in senior races aged 19 and was selected to represent Britain at under-23 level. Yanto represented Wales in the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Falling out of love with life as a professional road racer led Yanto to establish his cycling clothing business Le Col. Yanto’s cycling expertise and pursuit of perfection gives Le Col the leading edge and its apparel has been described by Sir Bradley Wiggins as “the best performance cycling kit on the market”.

Yanto is married and 2 children: a daughter who will be three in December and a son who was born at the start of May.

At Cinio Haf 2019,  Yanto  shared  with us some thought provoking insights regarding  the lessons  learnt and  the experiences  that have helped him along the way with respect to  racing and setting up his business.
